Lucky Escape

I was about to set off for church on my bike this morning when the heavens opened.  An almighty downpour you might say.  So glad it arrived when it did and not five minutes later which would have left me like a drowned rat!

As a gardener I can say that the rain was very welcome after a rather dry spell.  The diminutive Primula warshenewskiana was unperturbed in it's shady trough.  Drought is it's enemy.

After a long lunch I continued the purge out front.  There's more to do but I've broken the back of the job this weekend and now have some nice planting space for some of the seedlings I'm raising :-)
