Babysitting Emily

Our daughter had to be away this morning for an appointment - so I was called on to look after baby Emily for a few hours….

After mum left, we played together - she has discovered the ‘throw the toy on the floor and watch the grown up pick it up’ game. Here she was throwing the plastic ring out of her ‘doughnut’ - accompanied by much squealing! Of course, grandad was a sucker and kept picking it up for her. She had great fun. She has such an infectious smile.

Managed to get her down for a nap - which lasted two hours - much to mum’s disgust as she won’t nap when mum is around!

She woke up giggling and playing in the cot so I got her up and fed her lunch. She is quite keen on solid food already - rice cakes, toast and soft cheese and then fruit puree for pudding. She has a very good appetite!

I got home mid afternoon and walked Finlay (second walk) and then cut the grass/moss/weeds. I also gave Finlay a good brush down - we left huge piles of fur on the ground for the birds to use for nesting.
