Serendipity Blipmeet

A day of positives today :-)

We took our car over to the dealer to have them replace the tyres and check on the wheel alignment - and it now feels much more comfortable and also handles better :-)
While they had the car we took the train to Birmingham to see the Leonardo 500 set they have on display in the art gallery & museum - really quite extraordinary and so detailed.  The video on the techniques and materials available to Leonardo is a good introduction too.
As we came out of the exhibition, a woodwind group from the conservatoire were setting up for a lunchtime concert and we met up (unexpectedly) with blippers Hildasrose,  LooseCannon and Technophobe  along with Rob* Rose's other half.  So while they saw the Leonardo drawings we enjoyed the musicians run-through and I found my blip when two of them looked quite worried by what the others were playing :-)

Lunch followed in the rather splendid Edwardian tea room, the world was put to rights, more blip meets arranged and we went our separate ways.

We arrived back at Moor St  just in time to catch the not stopping so often train.

*We live in hope that Rob & Gill can be persuaded to joins us on blip ... they have been to several blip meets so the next step wouldn't be difficult for them :-)  They will both be at Upton House in early May too!
