Ruddy Duck

This is a new duck for me.  We were walking on a path beside the Hudson River this morning when we saw two pairs of this diving duck.  This is a breeding male, since it has a bright blue bill and chestnut body.  

Thank you so much for your comments, stars and hearts for the wolf photos I posted yesterday.  They are beautiful creatures and I was fortunate to have the opportunity to see them up close.
