The Don

A Sunday morning excursion to see the Don McCullin exhibition. What a brilliant show. The number of war zones and famines he has been to over the last 50 years is astonishing. Now he seeks the solace of the Somerset countryside and still life for inspiration.

Having seen his documentary on the TV recently he seems very clam and relaxed. I would have thought he would be traumatised after covering all those harrowing conflicts.

All pictures printed by himself. It's a remarkable achievement and a fascinating archive of mans' horribleness over half a century.

A brisk walk back to Westminster was a refreshing unwind. No Brexit demonstrators in evidence today. Have they given up or is Sunday a day off?
