Stonehaven Lighthouse

The first appointment this morning was to go for a haircut. Afterwards I went out to Stonehaven. Until I got out of the car I had not realised how cold it was. There was a clue observing the people walking past, looking cold despite being very wrapped up.

It was high tide, but nothing much happening in the harbour. There was a police presence for some reason, not sure what they were up to, a van and a prisoner transfer truck. Perhaps they were enjoying a break after having been at the court house which is quite close to the harbour.

After a wonder round the harbour I decided it was too cold to loiter. The photograph is of one of the sculptures installed near the boardwalk. It is taken looking out over the sea, quite a rough sea on this occasion, it might have been good surfing weather.
