Pictorial blethers

I love this view of the Cathedral of The Isles - the view through wrought iron screens past the organ to the choir stalls, the view of a chorister waiting to enter or struggling into their choir dress. I love it especially in the evening, as here, when the congregation has left and the daylight begins to fade.

Do we find God in this lovely place? I prefer to put it another way: being here, in the silence, can make it easier to empty oneself of the concerns that crowd out a sense of God, of Other.

There. That’s better.
