Ripples

Reflections

ripples
running wet wrinkles
reflect wrench
tear
our hearts

This was taken along the North River which divides Hanover from Pembroke, the town where I spent 26 years of my public school teaching career. It was a major ship building area and site of many forges, iron works and shipyards . Near where the Indian Head River joins the North River my paternal ancestors ran the Josselyn Forge in 1728. Later, under different ownership, the anchor for our famous USS Constitution, "Old Ironsides" was forged.

I spent some reflective morning moments here, on the bridge over the North River as the sky darkened once more with light rain showers.

For the Record,
This day came in dark with brightening skies and ending morning showers.
