Covent Garden at Christmas HDR

More sparkly in large.

I visited a friend for lunch today, and did my last flurry of Christmas shopping (woo!).

I didn't hold out much hope for a photo in town because it was dark and grey and raining hard, but then the decorations at Covent Garden caught my eye AND it is a covered market, so I didn't even have to battle with my umbrella...
I also took a shot from the mid-line of the building which was satisfyingly symmetrical, but this one shows more of the baubles and lights, which (apparently) is what it is all about after all.

p.s. Whittard should, in theory, be one of my favourite shops (teas and coffees and infusion-related-paraphernalia!?) but I just don't like it... The coffee is never fresh, the teas are usually a bit disappointing, and, well, it is just rarely very satisfying. It certainly used to be better. Besides, Covent Garden has Monmouth Coffee very nearby, and also The Tea House on Neil Street...
