Joyful Eastertide.

Glorious weather again but today was joyful with the presence of Eda and all the family.

When she arrived last night she went round all the things she remembered and loved from her last visit.

After breakfast we went in the garden. John went for a run around Goit Stock and came back having had a swim in the beck under the waterfall! Grace was jealous!
Then it was time for the egg hunt.
Eda loved it with her little basket which was soon full to overflowing. The ones that fell out were quickly hidden again for hunting.

We eventually sat on a picnic rug in the shade where Eda had her new holiday tea set out. She enjoyed the game of looking for the prizes but wasn’t really aware of what the eggs were for. We all sneakily ate one until Grandpa came out and ate one in front of her. The penny dropped and she was quickly peeling off foil. The first two bites were quickly rejected and then she made more of an effort but a sticky mess came back out again down her pretty little dress. Not a chocolate fan - yet!
The dress is one I bought her for last summer, age 9 to12 months, she’s now nearly 19 months. It’s now washed and on the line and Eda is on her way home but will be back next weekend.
She’s brought a lot of joy to us on her short visit but we’re both tired out. Chris made us a wonderful dinner before they went and when she’s here its all go!
