Diary of an Edinburgher

Drone fun!

We met up with the Kiwis at the cafe for a last coffee before they headed off into town to pick up the hire car and drive to the East Neuk - lucky things. And they were very excited to get a London-style taxi down town.

Isobel came to collect Archie, and Richard was busily beavering away at the doors all day. They have to be at a certain stage so that he can finish them tomorrow. They're looking good. 110% (a favourite bugbear) better than what they were.

The young man who built the cabinet came to adjust the shelves, so JR had great fun emptying the big boxes of all the dishes, plates, glasses etc that have been packed away for months.

Rufus and his mum came for a visit, and then our neighbour was out in the back garden playing with his new toy - a drone! (Extra) What fun! I had a go, but was rather terrified of clipping a chimney and sending it (the drone) crashing to the ground. I'd prefer to have a wee try away from buildings. Boy it could whizz! 40mph apparently.

We then wandered down to visit Rufus and his mum for G&Ts (a change from gallons of Prosecco of late) and delicious nibbles.

What a gorgeous evening, we really should have wandered down to see the blossom in the Meadows, but we wanted to come back and watch Line of Duty and demolish a big Ferrero Rocher Easter egg...
