Diary of an Edinburgher

Not finished...

A nice day, but slightly cooler than yesterday, as anticipated. Richard came again to finish off the doors, but family matters meant he couldn’t put in a full day, so yes, he's coming to finish off tomorrow. No worries, as the hall painters don’t come till Friday. One door is proving to be tricky, with strange blotches and colours. But he'll work out what to do. He likes wee puzzles.

I got my long awaited strip of LED lights for the jug shelf. They have hundreds of different colour combinations and sequences, but if you only want white, well, it's almost impossible. I shall fiddle a bit more with the buttons.

Michael came to take Archie out - he's determined to teach Archie to fetch the tennis ball, despite our advice.

The bathroom chap came to fit our new toilet seat - it's been broken since Day 1 - and a few other wee jobs. I heard a rattle in the new box - ominous - and when I opened it... broken bits! No new toilet seat today. So technically, our bathroom isn’t finished yet. But we still love it. Check out the original (extra).

Archie wasn’t keen to pose there - he thought he was going to have a bath.
