Miss Iris

I could tell by the canvas blind blowing around that the wind had whipped up and that I had to get out quickly for my photo of the day. My intention had been to go to the top of my street where some wonderful blossom is at its best. Sadly, the blustery wind was accompanied by sideways rain! So a photo out in the open was impossible.

Luckily, the first Iris in the planter alongside my building has opened up and that is my photo of the day. I didn't have the best lens on my camera for a creamy background, but I did manage to capture Miss Iris between two gusts of wind!

Sometimes we just have to adapt to circumstances, don't we?!
