Across the Pukaki Flats

Bob the bike and I somewhere about 5kms from Twizel. We've had a fine day and he's a different beast with the new set up. We're getting on famously.

The MacKenzie basin was unusually balmy and still for this time of year. The head of Lake Pukaki was dark and stormy as you can see in the extras. Not so flash up that way.

I've had a spa bath sorted out my gear, had a lovely dinner, and a craft beer.

It's been a great day. Check out my extras:

- Fairlie mainstreet
- Bob resting by Lake Pukaki
- Autumn on the edge of Twizel
- Storm at the head of Lake Pukaki

Today's gratitude: For that moment where I hollered and laughed out loud, just me and Bob and a wide expanse of high country.
