Richmond Bridge...

..another foray into another posh part of London under the cover of darkness took me into Richmond for yet another bridge capture, no lights this time but it is far more beautiful and classic looking bridge which does not need a neon glare in order to enhance it.

Since providing the information that everyone seemed to enjoy about Westminster Bridge I have been trying research some interesting facts about the bridges in order to enhance your viewing pleasure but the truth is that there isn't anything, but for factual reference the bridge, which is a Grade I listed building, was built between 1774 and 1777, as a replacement for a ferry crossing which connected Richmond town centre on the east bank with its neighbouring district of East Twickenham (St. Margaret's) to the west (boring), but I do have to say that I think that it is gorgeous.

Apart from that it's been a very sedate day, a bit of a rest after meeting up with ex-colleagues for some food and wine last night, the boys last day of term so it was a short day and I am going to head off to see Tower Bridge raised this evening to get a few more snaps of her while her legs are raised (oh err misses).

Have a good weekend all
