Another good night’s sleep we headed down to Calton Hill for brunch at the new Lookout restaurant with the most spectacular views across the city and out to Fife, once again nicer weather than we expected and after a lovely grazing buffet we wandered around the hill admiring the different views (and unsuccessfully tried to climb onto the monument!).
Back home and drove down to Portobello for a long walk along the beach and back, chatting (again!) non stop about all sorts...mainly TK’s new business ideas, work, benefits of living in Edinburgh, future options, kids’ careers and futures etc etc.
Back to the house to do a MacBook tutorial for TK, and discussing her business pitch, before out to see Matt Haig discussing his new book ‘Notes on a Nervous Planet’. We were a bit disappointed... rather shallow analysis of stress from social media etc and not enough about the book/his own experience, then second half just Q&A session with bland answers. We left early and had a Korean BBQ before home for Line of Duty. Another full day - and good to spend time with TK who I don't see enough of.
