Ladies who lunch

Today is a national holiday, honoring the Emperors abdication and the end of the Heisei era. It’s the first abdication from the Chrysanthemum Throne in more than 200 years so it’s a big event. Interestingly, Japan has the oldest monarchy in the world.

Much like a national holiday the world over, people seem to be marking the occasion by shopping and eating. Seemed silly not to join in!

Happy Tuesday Blip buddies!
