Quod oculus meus videt

Essington Bluebells

A frustrating morning, had hoped for some sunrise light but in the end there was too much cloud.  Also no mist or fog like the previous morning.  I popped into a nearby copse where I know I will find bluebells and I wasn't disappointed.

In fact, I've seen a number of comments suggesting that this has been one of the best years ever for bluebells.  Certainly from my perspective I am seeing them for the first time in verges of roads I have driven along for 30 years.  I wonder whether it was the warm weather in February and March that gave them a great start?
