.... vanity. 

I'm not afraid to admit it but I'm a little vain.  I think that's true for most of us.

In my youth and well into my 30's I wore contact lenses.  Then in 2001 I had lasik surgery to correct my vision.  It was one of the best things I have ever done .... even considering the price at that time! $$$

As I have gotten older I have noticed a shift in my vision and have had to wear reading glasses for some time now.  But for the last year or so I have also noticed that my distance vision isn't what it was in the years following the lasik surgery.  

Last year after my eye exam I had distance glasses made .... I have to admit to not wearing them on a regular basis as I also still need the readers. 

Fast forward to today ..... I saw my eye doctor again to discuss getting either contact lenses or progressive glasses to wear all the time.  With the contacts I will still have to use the reading glasses so I'm really leaning towards the progressives.  I ordered a pair and should have them by the end of the week.  This will allow me to try the progressives by themselves and I'm currently wearing the contacts as a trial. 

I will let you know what I decide ....

P.S. To Pipersmom .... you may be right when you said that the next time we meet I will be wearing the progressives!! ♥♥♥
