I bought three of these amazing primulas a couple of years ago, knowing that they were short-lived, and grew them on and divided them unto I had quite a number of them. Unfortunately none of them seem to have survived the winter. They're quite hardy, but probably got too wet over winter.

So I'm trying again, but this time I'll be more careful and keep them under cover next winter. They don't set seed and are propagated by tissure culture, after having appeared by chance in a sowing of the ordinary red and mauve type.

My new plants arrived in the post just a few minutes ago - I'll Blip them again when they flower, as I have before!
