On the beech

Another good day, so after lunch I set about getting more painting done on the deck. Rather a monotonous job, on my knees with a brush, but it looks better and I've replaced a few rotten slats. Almost too hot - the sun was beating down on my back! I was going to take a picture of it for a Blip but it's rather boring, so I photographed this young beech shoot, complete with female flowers, hanging over the rail. Something's been at the leaves already!
