A Fluffel of Bunnies

A cold and wet Thursday, so today’s Blipfoto is of some quartz rabbits gathering together. Apparently Fluffel is the appropriate collective name for Bunnies.

Quite a busy correspondence day today with a late journey to Dunfermline via Inverkeithing to rendezvous with Pat and meet with the Technical Director of Craig and Rose (established 1829) to specify a custom colour to paint a lounge which has a large bay window facing North and looking across the Firth of Forth.

Several colours have been considered, large sample boards have been prepared but none have been correct in this particular case.

Hopefully, Ed will be able to prepare the correct shade which will meet our requirements. He is confident.

He also showed us some very innovative paint treatments which have been recently developed. We may use them on some of the cast iron columns here at home.

Craig and Rose develop and manufacture in Dunfermline and supplied the original red paint for the Forth Bridge as well as the green for the Eiffel Tower.

It is fairly certain they supplied the original paint for our place in 1843.

The extra is a container from their original factory in Edinburgh which is exhibited in the reception area.
