“You are not...

...writing today...”

He was tearing up my notepad of important to do things today...

The app to control my speech processor has been driving me demented. It consistently refuses to marry with my processor saying I don’t have it on etc.

I have deleted app a few times today and reinstalled it. But then I realised it was using up my mobile wi fi data rapidly by doing this. I don’t have a landline, and so I don’t have unlimited wi fi. I have to be careful with my wi fi use.

I usually go to a wi fi place when I need to do a lot of downloading. But this is not practicable with the amount of times this app is messing up. Volume control, treble and bass control, sensitivity and more all have to be controlled through the app on the iPhone.

I tried the app on the iPad. And it was just the same. Sometimes worked and sometimes didn’t. My list of malfunctions to show hospital is getting longer and longer.

However I found out a problem with the iPhone and the app. The iPhone tries to protect the hearing of hearing people, and is constantly reducing volume down to the white bit. Once you turn volume into the yellow bit, the iPhone suggests you might be harming your hearing.

But, for the speech processor app to work, the volume of the iPhone needs to be right full to the top of the yellow bit. And I go into settings for the processor in the phone to keep it there.

But each time phone goes off, screen closes down etc, the volume resets itself back to a ‘safe’ level. This stops the app from functioning.

So this meant when I went into the app, the processor was now disconnected from the app, and I was unable to use any controls, nor was I able to stream from the iPhone. And nothing would make it reconnect.

I have wasted over a day on this. The reviews on the app are poor. And my review will be added to it soon.

So this problem is an app developer problem, and also an Apple problem?

I need a break from this technology...

Take care x
