Early Spring Garden

Dear Diary,

Today promises to be just beautiful, sunny and warm.  A perfect day for John to finish painting the dooryard fence.  He just has the front facing the road to do.  The daffodils are all making a fine show of it and I really am hoping that today will be the day that Auntie's Tree will burst into flower.  A very hope-filled day.  John will also help me drag my suitcase down from upstairs.  I leave for Boston on Wednesday!  Emerson would be taking his naps in the suitcase, something he loved to do.  I miss the little guy so much.
