20 years later

It is difficult to believe that the Scottish Parliament was only re-convened 20 years ago.

20 years this coming Sunday, to be precise, but the elections were held 20 years ago today.

So what else could I blip but the certificate (slightly tattered and frayed)  from that day from the South of Scotland count, which  confirmed that I would be  in the Assembly Hall in Edinburgh  when the Parliament first met after a 292 year adjournment ?

And despite losing my seat  in 2003, I came back in 2007 , successfully transferred from the regional list in the South  to the Argyll & Bute Constituency in 2011 and am still fortunate enough to be working there  for my constituents and my country .
