Life in Sunny Dubai

First day

Ramadan has begun in the Middle East!

I drove G into work as her earliest start is now 8:40am. I also wanted to do the weekly shop and needed the car, so raced over to the other side of town only to discover that Carrefour's new hours means they don't start until 10am now. Fortunately, Festival City has a few public areas to sit. It also gave the chance to capture this image of the Mall's decorations. I like that there is only one moon, but a few stars.

Shopping done, I raced over to collect G and we actually called in at another supermarket before getting home. I have to admit that some time in the evening has been spent watching the news about Harry and Meghan's baby. Great news for them.

There is an exhibition of Dutch painters at the Louvre in Abu Dhabi. It's been on since March and finishes on 18th May. I've been wanting to go for ages, but we've just not found the time. I discovered today that it is "Business As Usual" at the Louvre over the next few weeks, so we're going to try to get down there this week.
