Happy Birthday To You!

Today is THE birthday day! Sandy has wonderful plans for an evening dinner with friends and that means more cooking and another cake! She really is a wonder woman! First to open her cards and to read the moving words written by her friends, and to open her gifts. 

Everyone got involved. I mainly watched,  and learnt how to chop ginger and peel garlic cloves for a ginger and garlic paste. Martin skinned and chopped chickens for a biryani. Sherry organised more balloons and vacuumed the flat! Ben fetched and carried and helped ice the delicious carrot cake. It was a real privilege to be a part of this busy and very special day.... and then to be a guest in the evening! 

So, Sandy has now joined the quinquagenarian club! I think she feels OK!
