Gently down the stream

Welsh poppy

Meconopsis cambrica..

As you know I don't pick wildflowers unless they grow in my garden.  A Welsh poppy seed floated in a few years ago and has since become quite a clump in the bed by the front door.  It's roots are tangled up in a rather lovely hydrangea, but as neither seem to mind, and they flower at opposite ends of the season, I've left them to get on with it.

The green bottle, inevitably, was one of my charity shop bargains.

Central heating went back on today and it's been wet enough to make an indoor shot feel good, but as you can see the sun did come through enough to create shadows and this lovely green light on the wall.

Hope your day's gone well - have a happy evening  xx
