BEE-ING THRIFTY

Bumble bee on Thrift flower. (It's worth bigging up.)

There was also a family of eight ducklings (extra). This is the only one of dozens of photos where they were all included and nearly all in focus. Mostly they're just little fuzzy balls of fluff because they move about so fast. There's an interesting variation of colours in the brood.

Further to yesterday's post about the garden album I've made for Mum, I told her about it today and she's going to show it to her gardener to explain how she'd like the garden to be. Poor chap, if she's expecting him to hack back ten years' growth of trees, hedges and shrubs and plant up dozens of planters and hanging baskets. He's only there one day a fortnight and Mum & Dad used to spend hours and hours on the garden through most spring and summer days! Alan the gardener is not going to thank me!
