Cute Comedy

Walked down to the duckponds to see how the swans and ducks were getting on and to see if anymore eggs had hatched. When I arrived the baby swans were on the water with Mrs Swan up on the path, Mr Swan was on the water near the babies. There were also a few concerned people stood nearby watching, I found out that the babies couldn't get out of the water as the path was too high above the water. One gent managed to help one out but Mr and Mrs moved to him hissing so he backed off. Mum got back into the water and the cygnet the gent had helped out followed. All five paddled off to the other end of the pond. Whilst they were gone we managed to set up a 'ramp' with a couple of boulders and a piece of wood we found around. When they came back a bit later it sort of worked and the babies manged to get out ok. When I left Mrs Swan was back on the nest where the 4 remaining eggs are, with babies tucked in under her.

My 'Cute Comedy'  blip shows Mrs Swan and the babies out on the water. Two have managed to climb onto her back, the third is trying to climb on. The angle of the one trying to get on almost matches the back one of the two on her back making it look like one with a very long neck.
