I must go down to the sea again ...

The main event today was a big shop. Hopefully we will have most of the provisions we need for our two weeks stay.
After a leisurely lunch al fresco, we set off across the Common again, but this time we headed for the coast. Our cottage isn't that far from the sea as the crow flies, but it's a good mile or so along the Sandlings tracks. The best sighting of the day was a Cuckoo, calling from the edge of the wood, and we got some good views of it, but it eluded the camera lens. The only photo I managed was a Wheatear which was close by - but not as good as the photo I got a few weeks ago closer to home. It was encouraging to see a few butterflies on the wing - Peacock, Brimstone, Orange Tip, Small Heath and Small Copper. When we were last here in September, I got a "lifer" in the form of a White Admiral.
