Hungry Birds and Spring Growth

I refilled the feeders yesterday after our trip away and we've seen a lot of birds today. A whole flock of bullfinches and some chaffinch, as well as this great spotted woodpecker and siskin. The squirrels have been round too.
As you can see spring is slowly moving forward and the buds are turning into leaves.  Flowers are also appearing, including the wood anemone in the extra.
I took a 10 km cycle trip today and enjoyed the sun, even if the air was a little chilly. I did about half on forest roads and half on country roads. It was fun to be out on the (electric) cycle again, enjoying the warmth such as it was, without any worries about icy patches on the roads!
The extra shows a "vitsippa" - a wood anemone.
These are popping up both in woodland and next to roads and streams in our area. They grow around here in clumps and in some woodland clearings there are a hundreds of these flowers.
