A May morning

More monochrome, a view in a riverside meadow on a glorious May morning. At one time there had been plans to excavate sand and gravel from this much-used public park, but they were turned down. In the end it would have been converted to a series of small lakes and would probably have been attractive to birds and aquatic animals, and people too of course, but it would have meant losing the recreational space so it's probably just as well that the idea was abandoned.
