Unfurling

Playing around with shallow depth of field on this rather uninspiring overcast evening, I came across this fresh sprouting on the crook of a tree, not sure what type?

I like the contrast between the leaves in focus and the shapes in the background. The image is simple, but sometimes that makes for an effective image and tells the storey of new spring growth. I like that the two trunks differ also in focus and direction which adds some interest to the frame.
