A New Day

Trondheim Market

We docked today in Trondheim, Norway's 3rd largest city and decided to do our own sightseeing tour. We found our way to the centre, where there was a lovely Christmas market just being set up by the stall holders and the photo is of a stall selling genuine Alpaca souvenirs. There were others with hand-made Christmas decorations, but the prices in Norway are eye-watering and I resisted the temptation!

If we'd had more time, we could have had a ride round the centre on a sleigh pulled by a little cream pony or visited one of the many museums or churches, but we were always very conscious of the ship waiting to sail on time and terrified we would get lost and miss it! Booked excursions do have their advantages!

The ship produces a programme of each day's events and dockings and includes any locations of interest that we might pass on the way, so it was easy to be on deck at the right time and not miss any of the sights.

Vague hints of the Aurora Borealis in the sky tonight, but nothing that showed up on a photo. Maybe tomorrow will be better!
