Flower Friday: Fresh Today

The irises in the pond have started to flower today, and here is a shot of the first one nearly fully unfurled.  Given that its been (relatively) cold and wet today its being quite brave really ;-)

In other news Cathy is away with book club friends visiting York where her family originated back in Victorian times.  She has been busy revising her family history as we have details of various addresses where it is recorded that her ancestors lived and she very much wanted to visit them.
