Castle dash

Our lunchtime flight meant we didn't have the desperately early start of last week so I set my alarm for 7 to walk up to the castle before leaving. I woke up naturally at 6.30 and made the most of an extra thirty minutes.

It was with a lovely cool breeze that I enjoyed this morning vista from the castle viewpoint which looks down over the town, and the best streaming clouds of the week.

I pondered on our magnificent explorations before making my way down the network of steep steps through the white hillside houses. It really is a beautiful town and I can see why so many foreigners choose to settle here. 

Probably not the lifestyle for me but I'd come back for cycling without a second thought. 

We're mid-air now, on time and looking forward to getting home.
