rain shadow

The rain caught us by surprise today! D was sitting, meditating, in a corner of the garden. When he got up, he left the shadow of his mat and his elbows on the stone. The smaller shadow is where he had placed a small  bag with a timer in it.

We had to bring the washing in quickly as there was quite a downpour, but it stopped just in time for me to cycle to drumming in brilliant sunshine. Beautiful evening light, the road fringed with the billowing white flowers of cow parsley, the air filled with the scent of rain and may blossom.
