Wildflower Meadow Project #3

It's the exciting bit tomorrow, the arrival and laying of the wildflower turf!  For the last couple of days, Tony has been digging in several bags of sand to lower the fertility of the soil and adding an edge to separate the wildflowers from the not so wildflowers and from the rockery.  He's brought several extra rocks down from the allotment so that we can have some plants trailing over them and in to the rockery.  My blip shows him in filling at the back of the rocks to provide some stability and drainage.

Thankfully we have had several days without rain so the soil is very dry, which is what is needed for the laying of the turf.  Once it is down it will need watering daily for a couple of weeks.
