Exploring

After the stress the other day driving through Slapton, we decided to have a walk through the village this morning before setting off home. It's beautiful!
It's full of higgledy-piggledy lanes and alleys, a fourteenth century tower, a lovely pub, walls dripping with ferns and other lovely plants, streams running in gullies beside the road, flowers everywhere. Just gorgeous!! And so much less stressful on foot!
We walked from the village down the footpath leading to Slapton Ley Nature Reserve. We had a gorgeous walk there too along boardwalks through the reeds. Ferns, cow parsley, garlic, bluebells, so pretty!!
From there we walked back up to the campsite to collect the car and Marshall.
We drove to Grandad's for me to say a quick goodbye to him and Auntie I and then I left Mr K and the Little Misses  to show Grandad round Marshall and set off to Exeter to drop off the car and wait for them.
As it turned out I was still dropping the car off an hour later when Mr K and the Little Misses turned up. We coincided with another flight arrival and the man was still there on his own. But it was fine, I had the chance to read my book in peace!!
Once we set off the journey flew by. One minute we were in Exeter, next we were home. To a lovely clean house!
