Moonscape

Rich and I arrived in Fuerteventura yesterday. Not sure how adventurous it will be in comparison to our usual trips, but will endeavour to record anything of interest.

So far we have discovered a few things:
-The average age of the guests in the hotel is probably over 70. Almost can’t wait until half term brings a few plane loads of kids
- The entertainment in the hotel is diabolical
- Despite the guide to the hotel clearly saying that guests should under no circumstances reserve sun loungers, at 8am there were towels laid out over every lounger.
- And in no connection at all to the above statement, there are many German and French guests here...

Anyway,we had a good first day exploring Corralejo, the little town beach is lovely, and also a bit alien due to the black volcanic rock everywhere. We sat for a good time in Waikiki beach bar , drinking cocktails and watching people fall off windsurfs.

We have also started researching the all inclusive drinks to see which are the most palatable. White wine has most definitely been discarded in favour of Gin and Tonic. In the day they serve ‘pour your own’cava in the beach bar which we think may become well utilised this week...
