MV Isle of Arran leaving busy Campbeltown

14C with sunny sunshine breaking through after some cloud in the morning. Moderate WNW/W/NW breeze.

This week Fergus and I made sure we were in time to see the ferry leaving at 7.30am. I knew the harbour was busy with Zea Servant, Thalassa (the tall ship), and one of the Salmon boats (Viking Gripfisk) all in port. Yesterday there had been a cruise ship, Ocean Atlantic, but it must have sailed late in the afternoon.

Fergus and I went for our walk after lunch. We went round to the harbour and along the park and Kilkerran road for a while before we came back.

On the Clip while walking:
The BBC Radio 3 podcast Sound of Cinema:
1. The Con Artist. Inspired by 'The Hustle', with a new score by Anne Dudley, a remake of the comedy 'Dirty Rotten Scoundrels' gave Matthew Sweet his cinematic theme: the con artist.
2. Academia. Academia has provided a rich backdrop for cinema over the years, and with the release of the biopic Tolkien, Matthew Sweet looked at film music inspired by university life.

Afternoon music ... BBC Radio 2.
