Classic Car Revival

We were lucky to be here again for this charming colourful event. The Madeira Classic Car Revival this year started with the Rampa, a race around the roundabouts and streets near the seafront. For the first time, this was an evening event and it was huge fun.

At one point we sat near a roundabout but got a bit nervous as the drivers seemed to lose it from time to time. Mind you, the passengers looked far more terrified.

We leaned over the bridge that crosses uphill road by our hotel. Great views but it was all a bit wobbly.

This morning the exhibits were all parked on the seafront, amid the agapanthus blooms and there was a lovely atmosphere.

It was also the Book fair.
A lovely time to visit.

My extra is Sisi, the dog who usually sits by the gate of the President’s garden. She’s been missing the last twice we’ve walked past but this morning she was there, being fussed by a lovely family who have her cousin. Apparently if there is a change in the forthcoming elections, she might have to move house !
