Big stretch!

Lottie is not a morning dog.  She comes out with me early on, then scampers back up the stairs for another hour or so's kip with Mike!  On a day like today, grey, with drizzle and showers, one can hardly blame her, or him!

Then of course there is the mid morning doze, on the couch, where she can keep one eye on the bird life in the garden.  She's decided that we need to be warned of all intruders with a sharp bark or two!  This is being nipped in the bud, but it is a work in progress . . . !

Our first evening of leaving Lottie alone this evening.  We put her in her crate while we went for a meal with the folk whose cats I had been looking after.  They had been to Istanbul, and had a day's cooking course while they were there, so cooked an amazing five courses Turkish meal for us!  It was wonderful - really delicious and a great treat!  It was a really lovely evening, I've said I'm happy to cat sit so they can go on more foreign cookery courses!

Lottie was overjoyed to see us, and not upset or distressed at all.  She is used to her crate and goes in and out of it voluntarily, it's full of blankets and toys.  Good to know that she can be left when needed though.
