Tiny World

As some of you may or may not remember, my beloved macro lens has bitten the dust, and I am without it during this time of year when I use it nearly every day.  Today, Wendy and I met for coffee and a catch-up before we headed over to the botanical gardens,  I took my 85 mm, f/1.8 lens along with extension tubes to see what I could do.

Focusing was a challenge because there was a narrow focus field between the minimum and maximum focus distance, so I found myself moving to get my focus. Thank goodness for focus peaking.  Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised with my results.

The rose garden was in full bloom and looked stunning.  I have loaded an extra so you can enjoy it too, if you have the time.

Many thanks to Ninniex for hosting Tiny Tuesday this month.  Next month will be hosted by Loisbiz.

P.S. Does anyone know what this flower is?
