Switzacake

The boys were in charge of decorating the cake again this year.  Mountains, trains, trees, waterfall, where else could it be other than another celebration of our trip to Switzerland.

They quite seem quite unbothered by the concept of scale.

Really rather civilised starting time to the day - no longer the 6am starts of their younger years.  The family tradition has been opening small 'stocking' presents on Mum & Dad's bed (not that it's an easy fit these days), breakfast, some of the bigger presents, out for a walk - a squelch around Fowlmere nature reserve this year, and back for some more presents and lunch.

Film in the evening - Robin Hood (Russell Crowe) - much better than I'd anticipated as I know it's a bit of a Marmite film.

Left the boys testing the new (and MUCH quieter) xbox while E and I retired to a safe distance with some sloe gin.
