A Day Worth Recording

Concrete Jungle

Out on a walk this morning and half way through the echo'y concrete underpass the Cheeseminors spontaneously break out into a very tuneful rendition of The Lion Sleeps Tonight, and other fragments.   God, how I love these nutters.

A weird sort of Christmas.  'A' is with us for Christmas Day itself which is a first.  Mum, Dad and Grandma are the first awake, and have to wake the 'kids', however, we had found a stocking outside our door (another first).

With most presents given and unwrapped, and breakfast had we went into Cambridge for a walk, keeping to the paths for 'A'.  Back for the remaining presents and the traditional Veggie Christmas Lasagne.

Played Powergrid this afternoon while A rested.  Played a new board (UK & Ireland) which was a prezzie.  Came last.  Hurrumph.

Finished off the evening watching the drama about the early Doctor Who.

This underpass is in the marshy bit of Cambridge.  The builders at least recognised that and the right hand half of this is for the water to cross under the road, while the pedestrian left-hand-side is slightly raised.
