Gently down the stream

Kai Choi playing Vivaldi

...to a very young audience (Extras).

Today I went into town for a MonoMonday blip on the subject 'Check' .  This may, therefore, not qualify, but I'm tagging it anyway, because the one thing I did do was check out his name, what he was playing and why a player as good as him spends so much time working on the street.  He is interesting to talk to.  This is his website and here is a YouTube clip.  And in this blip he's playing for and smiling at the pair in Extras.

I first came across Kai Choi playing in Salisbury about 12 years ago.  At that time R and I were doing some work for the Salisbury Festival.  At the launch of the festival the then very talented but rather flakey Artistic Director suddenly decided at the last minute that we needed some music.  He went out into the Market Square and hauled Kai Choi into the Hall.  A good deal was added to the proceedings.

The music being played today was a Vivaldi violin concerto (from Opus 3)

This afternoon I have spent all my time working on the camera club handbook - lalala!  And soon I shall break off from this and water my poor dry garden.

Thanks to Laurie54 for hosting today's MM.  And a happy Monday evening  xx
