Five Rise.

We’ve been into Leeds this morning on the train.
This barge garden, with the Five Rise locks alongside, on the side of platform 2 in Bingley Station, was created last year and I took a shot of it from above as an extra as it was difficult then to see just what they were creating. Now fully painted and planted I think it looks great on what was just waste land.
(I have taken it several times over the last few months on my rail journeys but never got around to using it for blip). They now have posters up promoting the Five Rise Locks on both platforms which is good too. (They are on the Leeds - Liverpool canal as is Bingley if you didn’t know)
Good to see the station house is at last being renovated as it has been boarded up for as long as I can remember.

We went to John Lewis to use my free coffee and cake voucher and then get some items I need from the Haberdashery dept. Chris had to have his fix in the kitchen ware dept and also had a bit of a look at cameras etc and then we started to head back calling in at Seasalt before leaving the Victoria Quarter. Two minutes and and we saw Wendy (Wendles56) and Tony. Had a good chat with them and then went out separate ways only to see each other again on the train. It was nice to catch up and wish them well for their forthcoming, stateside wedding.

Got home just before the rain!
