The Old Toll House

The Old Toll House is a Grade II listed building on the edge of Kingsteignton. It's now a private dwelling and it's thought to have been built for the Totnes and Bridgetown-Pomeroy Turnpike Trust in 1824. It runs along the line of the old Roman road going southwest to Totnes.

There's a nice wide verge so I could get down low and include the old horse trough as a lead in. The charges are much clearer if you look at it on a black background but there's still no fee listed for a VW Campervan.

Wideangle Wednesday is hosted by steveng this week as BobsBlips is away and the theme this week is 'History/Historical'.
